When considering a puppy for sale, any photo of past dogs is helpful and a picture of the kennel also.
This breed is relatively healthy and the main concern is back problems. If the dog is overweight, has a poor physical condition or jumps high, it is susceptible to disc problems. Other disorders typical for the breed are hip dysplasia, gastric torsion, and allergies.

Special attention should be paid to ears that suffer from lack of air circulation and are often drag on the ground. These dogs drool rather heavily.
