Basset Ear Hound

The dog’s long ears were specially developed to stir up ground scent to allow its large nose to smell. The folds of skin under its chin are also helpful in trapping. The feet are large and give the hound steadiness when hunting. Heavy-boned and muscular, this dog performs its function very well.
